Green Tea is known for its many health benefits and it has been used for centuries in a variety of medicines. It is made by steeping green tea leaves in hot water. The most common types of green tea use the Camellia sinensis species (sinensis translates to “from China”), although not all Chinese teas are made from this plant. The two main types of green tea are the unfermented “raw” tea and the fermented black tea which is known as Postum. There are also more exotic types of green teas that include white, yellow and red teas but these are not too common in the United States.

Recently, people have explored many ways to infuse green tea and have created a variety of green tea cocktails.

Green tea is a popular ingredient in cocktails and is often used in drinks that are made to soothe the body after an energetic workout. In addition, green tea cocktails can be used as an alternative to alcoholic beverages at weddings, bar mitzvah and other events where liquor may not be allowed.

If you are serving green tea cocktails at a party, try making Green Tea Shots for your guests. The shots are quick and easy to make and can be served in shot glasses which makes them easy to carry around if you decide to take them on the road – chilled of course.

Some green tea shots do not actually contain any green tea, but instead use green food coloring and other ingredients to give the appearance that they are made with green tea. While some people may not be able to tell the difference between the two, you can always up your green tea shot’s coolness factor by using actual green tea in it.

You can make Green Tea Shots by steeping real or artificial green tea leaves in water or vodka (or any liquor). You can also mix ground up green tea leaves in hot water and then pour the liquid into shot glasses. If you plan on mixing alcohol with your shots, it is best to use unflavored vodka instead of flavored vodka which may clash with the flavor of the shots. If you plan on adding milk or cream to your shots, you may want to use a stronger liquor like vodka or tequila.

To make Green Tea Shots, use the following recipes:

Green Tea Shots Recipe #1

Ingredients:

8 ounces of boiling water or tea leaves

2 cups of ice cubes

4 shots of vodka or other liquor (optional)

Instructions:

Step 1: Pour boiling water or tea leaves into mugs.

Step 2: Let the mixture steep for a few minutes.

Step 3: Place 2 cups of ice cubes in a blender.

Step 4: Add 4 shots of liquor to the blender and add one mug of steeped green tea mixture to the blender.

Step 5: Blend until the mixture is smooth and pour into shot glasses.

Note: You can use iced green tea instead of boiling water or you can use green tea bags instead of loose leaf tea leaves and skip steps 1-3.

Step 2: Add 2 shots of vodka and the 1/4 cup of sweetened condensed milk. Blend until smooth.

Green Tea Shots Recipe #3

Ingredients:

1 cup of hot water

1/4 cup of green tea leaves (or green tea bags)

2 tablespoons sugar or honey (optional)

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Ice cubes (optional)

Nutmeg for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

Step 1: Steep 1/4 cup of green tea leaves in boiling water for about 5 minutes. You can also use 6-8 green tea bags instead of the leaves. You can also use hot water and skip heating the tea leaves on the stove. If you are using bags, you will want to remove them after 2-3 minutes because they will continue to steep in the water.

Step 2: Add 2 tablespoons of sugar or honey if desired.

Step 3: Add 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract if desired.

Step 4: Pour into shot glasses and serve chilled with ice cubes and a sprinkle of nutmeg on top for garnish if desired.

These are a few ideas that you can use when making your Green Tea Shots. You can add a variety of ingredients to the shots such as vodka, hot chocolate mix, apple juice, berries or almost any ingredient that you may want to add to the shots.

In addition, you can also change the flavor of your shots by adding different ingredients instead of green tea. If you are serving them at a party, you may want to make several different flavors of shots for variety and so that you don’t have to drink the same thing over and over again.

Most people prefer to use unflavored vodka in their green tea shots. If you do use flavored vodka, make sure that you choose a flavored vodka that will complement the flavor of the shots.

If you are making Green Tea Shots for a party, it is best to use plastic shot glasses or small paper cups with lids instead of glass cups because they will be easier to carry around. You can put the lids on the cups if you plan on serving them as shooters. If you are going to serve them in glasses, you may want to garnish them with lime or lemon slices and other decorative items like mini umbrellas or edible flowers.
